What You Need To Know About Sugar Alternatives

Welcome to this blog, today am gonna share with you What You Need To Know About Sugar Alternatives.
Introduction
In today’s world you may think like everyone is suffering from certain health conditions , in one way or the other I may say it’s true that everyone might be having certain diseases. The burden of Non Communicable Diseases which is rising day and night makes the condition even worse. This is pretty sure, because approximately 41 million people die each year due to Non Communicable Diseases, which is equivalent to 71% of all deaths globally. And among these people, 15 million people are between the age of 30 and 69 years; over 85% of these premature deaths occur in low and middle-income countries especially the sub-Saharan countries in Africa including Tanzania.

Behind the scene etiology of all Non Communicable Diseases is seen to be Modifiable Behaviors that changes day by day. These behaviors are such as
  • Tobacco use,
  • Physical inactivity,
  • Unhealthy diet and,
  • Harmful use of alcohol, all these increase the risk of Non Communicable Diseases.
Unhealthy Diet is a major problem today many people are not aware of what kind of staff they have to feed their bodies, in so doing the body becomes so much contained with unhealthy food hence the normal body physiology is being destroyed day after day.

Such unhealthy diet that I want to focus on it today is the use of Sugar It’s pretty sure that we all need sugar in our bodies for it to be processed to give the body energy, but it’s not all kinds of sugar that we find in the street shops/supermarkets needed for that task. Because most of them contain additional carbohydrates which is converted to sugar when in the body.

Now………........ What You Need To Know About Sugar Alternatives ………………..

When you visit your local supermarket or street shops , it can be easy to get overwhelmed by all kinds of artificial sweeteners flooding the shelves. But I find it so beneficial to understand what we are consuming and the effects on our body, Bellow are useful tips from the American Diabetes Association to help you navigate healthier decisions when shopping for or preparing sweets.
  • Read the labels. Many foods that are advertised as “sugar-free” or “no sugar added” are not carbohydrate-free or even lower in carbs. When you consume items that have carbohydrates, your body breaks those carbs into glucose (sugar). That’s why it’s so important to read nutrition labels and understand how many carbs and calories you are consuming, in addition to looking at sugar content.
  • Consume sugar in its natural form. Whole fruit is a perfect example of food that contains sugar in its natural form. These types of foods tend to be nutrient-dense, high in fiber and low in glycemic load—meaning it won’t spike your blood glucose. This can be especially important for people with diabetes. While refined sugar can cause our blood glucose and insulin levels to spike, increase triglycerides and with that increase a person’s risk for diabetes, cardiovascular disease and other chronic illnesses. Be aware that even too much natural sugar consumption can lead to tooth decay, weight gain and increased triglycerides.

  • Understand the purpose of artificial sweeteners. Examples of artificial sweeteners include aspartame, saccharin and sucralose. Artificial sweeteners don’t contribute to tooth decay and cavities, and they contain no calories and can aid in weight loss. Because artificial sweeteners don’t contain carbs, they don’t raise your blood sugar. This can allow individuals with diabetes to enjoy alternatives to their favorite sweets in moderation.
  • Moderation is key. Artificial sweeteners and subssubstitutestitutes may aid in weight management but should be used sparingly. Remember that processed foods containing sugar substitutes typically do not offer the same benefits and nutritional value as whole foods.
Lookingng to cut back on sugar?
Here are some ideas to get you started:

  • Carbonated water is a tasty swap for soda.
  • Make a morning smoothie with fresh or frozen fruit instead of opting for sugary cereal or pre-packaged pastries.
  • Replace dessert with a DIY popsicle or fresh fruit. Add your own toppings (like fresh fruit or a low-sugar granola) to yogurt instead of pre-flavored options.

Comment Bellow if you have any question(s) concerning the today's topic, welcome back. Have A Nice Moment.

FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES OF GOOD HEALTH PART 1

There’s an old saying that “YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT” but today I wanna add up on it that “WE ARE WHAT WE DO… WE ARE WHAT WE THINK…” Take the risk of going through the article and see how you are what you eat, do and think.

Having good health is one of the greatest responsibilities we have, taking care of your health status matters a lot, many of us struggle to take care of their phones by buying a brand new screen protector, nice phone cases and even more to maintain their phone internet bundles all day long. Wonderful enough they forget to have a time to access their body health.

A vast number of health problems presented in our clinical setting ranging from mild to severe conditions are simply due to the fact that we fail to control some simple Health principles that are within our own abilities.

Consider conditions like Diabetes, Obesity, Depression, Cancers have now increased in recent years perhaps it’s because we have neglected simple health principles. Some of us have been struggling to lose weight, maintaining perfect body shapes and perhaps to gain sexy body shapes.
Why then to trouble yourself... follow these simple health principles to maintain your perfect good health....😩😩😩😩

1. Maintain Good Health Nutrition.

Did you know that eating food with less or low nutrition value can over time lower the effectiveness of your body’s defense system and compromise your physical and mental health….? You may wonder why this happens so..but the fact is, deciding which kind of food and how to cook it is more important, many processed foods have less nutrients but also some foods shouldn’t stay on a stove for a long period of time because the nutrients in it perish.

2. Get Adequate Amount Of SUNLIGHT.

The sun provides the basis for all life on Earth. It is the source of energy for all life forms including plants, animals and humans. The body manufactures natural vitamin D after being exposed to sunlight.
Vitamin D is critical for the body because it helps the body absorb calcium and maintain the right amount of calcium and phosphorus in the blood. Without it bones became thin, brittle or even misshapen.

3. Drink Ample Amount Of WATER.

Our body is made up of about 75% water, but also ¾ of our planet’s surface is covered with waters with a vast amount of life forms. “we can’t drink water without thinking of life itself” water carries elements of life and has the ability to transmit and maintain them. Every single cell is made up of water including the cells in our own body.
Water is so critical for life and functioning of cells, tissueand organs in the body. Water helps in processing body functions such as movement, nerve function, blood circulation, digestion, eliminating waste products etc..

4. Get an Adequate Amount Of SLEEP.

A lot of studies are suggesting that sleep plays a crucial role in a person's physical as well as mental health and functioning. Lack of sleep can compromise immune system effectiveness, which can lead to various forms of health problems.
Studies have shown that lack of sleep can make your body become resistant to insulin, a hormone which helps carry glucose from blood to cells. Other problems resulting from lack of sleep include lack of mental clarity, memory problems, moody disposition and higher stress level.

Life Without Hypertension During The Pandemic Of COVID19

LIFE WITHOUT HYPERTENSION DURING THE PANDEMIC OF COVID19

Overview Of Hypertension
Hypertension is the leading modifiable risk factor for cardiovascular disease, and is associated with high morbidity and mortality, with significant health care costs for individuals and society.
Hypertension has now become a public health problem and yet people are aware of it and even fewer access effective treatment.
With the ongoing demographic transition in many part of Sub-Saharan Africa, people are changing from rural, manual work to urban lifestyle, hence the risk of hypertension increases.

Possible Risk Factors For Hypertension
Major risk factors for hypertension among people in the society includes
Age,
Race,
Education,
Smoking,
Metabolic syndromes, ( obesity, dyslipidemia and diabetes).
Manifestation of end-organ damage at the time of diagnosis,
Family history of cardiovascular diseases,

It’s a Surprise that,
Hypertension is usually asymptomatic until overt end-organ damage is imminent or has already occurred. Therefore the diagnosis of hypertension depends on measurement of blood pressure and not on symptoms reported by the person.

Effects of Hypertension
Sustained arterial hypertension damages blood vessels in kidney, heart and brain and leads to an increased incidence of renal failure, coronary disease, heart failure, stroke, and dementia.

However, fewer than half of the patients with hypertension receiving pharmacological treatment have adequate blood pressure control. The main reasons for this are therapeutic inertia, lack of adherence to treatment, and unhealthy lifestyle (i.e., excess dietary fat and salt, sedentary lifestyle, and overweight). Cardiovascular risk and mortality are greater in hypertensive patients who are receiving treatment but have suboptimal control of blood pressure.

IMPORTANT WAYS TO LIVE A LIFE WITHOUT HYPERTENSION

1. Maintain Your Body Physically  Active; Being physically active have shown to reduce the risk of developing hypertension which can cause cardiovascular diseases. One of the famous Author Ellen G. White once said  “Moderate exercise everyday will impact strength to the muscles, which without exercise became flabby and enfeebled. By active exercise in the open air every day,the liver, kidney, and lungs also will be strengthened to perform their work.” Child Guidance 339.3. Therefore performing outdoors regular exercise will help you to maintain proper blood circulation within the arteries and veins of your body.

2. Feed your body with a diet less of fatty and salt foods; Researchers shows that people taking higher fatty and salt diets are associated with hypertension and cardiovascular problems, salt has a tendency of increasing blood osmolarity in so doing water retention which increases arterial blood pressure. On the other side fatty food increases the level of cholesterol in the body with then can form clot and increases resistance in arteries and veins in the body. But I stead take a lot of green vegetables with a lot of natural fruit and whole grains, these are of much more important for your health.

3. Get fresh air; Fresh air is the precious gift from God, we were meant to get pure air from the atmosphere perhaps during this period of lock down many of us are staying within the house all day long, take time to open up your windows and door so that sun rays and fresh pure air from outside may reach the house. “ Your lungs, deprived of air, will be like a hungry person deprived of food.Indeed, we can live longer without food than without air, which is the food that God has provided for the lungs.” Child Guidance 339.4

4. Have a close relationship with God; Our precious Heavenly Father and wants us to live in a perfect health life, without any complication of disease, God always reminds us to tell all our needs and wants to him. He never tired to lifting us from life burden of diseases, he loves us, he care for us, even more than that he has millions of ways to make  COVID19 ends, what he needs from your is your trust to him alone.

The choice of maintaining your proper healthy lifestyle is of much concern during this period of pandemic. May I take this opportunity to remind you that following a proper health lifestyle  will be of much benefit for you and your loved ones. Wash your hands. Don’t touch your eyes, nose and mouth. Avoid going to clouded places. Put on your face mask. Together we can fight COVID19.

JE, UNAIFAHAMU KINGA DHIDI YA COVID19?

Kinga Madhubuti Dhidi Ya COVID19
